Tumbler Ridge Pathogen

Classification of bacteria is similar to the menu bar on your computer.

Domain : Bacteria > Phylum > Class > Order > Family

One of the most common types has a "Star Wars" sounding name - Wolbachia - after the person who discovered it in 1924. Ubiquitous in the insect world, which is hardly surprising since it targets the sex organs. The taxonomic classification is a subject of debate. Closely related strains are designated as a super group, each of which corresponds to a particular host. As well, phage virus mutates Wolbachia, so that essentially, a computer program within a computer program attacks the host. The domain classification is actually appended by a queer alphanumeric code (not included).

Phylum XII > Proteobacteria > Class II > Order II > Family II > Wolbachia

The symptoms are varied and peculiar. It can be lethal, can turn males into females, do nothing, cause race mixing between species as well as causing the host to explode.
