Planck Radiation Law (1900)

“The similarity is quite amazing” Max Born referring to Einstein’s plagiarism.

Max Planck was on the editorial board of Annalen der Physik from 1885 until 1928. There was no peer-review and not too much concern where things came from. Planck preferred a Classical Universe rather than Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution of molecular velocities (1870’s); but, even his own student (Hertz) published a paper, “Photoelectric Effect”. The Continuum became even more bumpy with his creation “Planck Radiation Law”. This distribution function emerged from the general confusion around Maxwell’s distribution. See formulas in the reference.

The curve can be used as an envelope for a sound file executed by Praat linguistic software, this formula will produce a frog sound, after it goes through the band pass filter.

((x*25)^3  / (exp(x*25)) – 1) *250 mod 25 * x^2 ; frog
