Dimethyl sulfoxide is used in many paint removers. Since it is not toxic, at least in small amounts, perhaps there are other uses for such a peculiar substance. Dimethyl sufoxide or DMSO is easily absorbed through the skin; in fact if it is spilled on the hands you can taste it. So there are, indeed, no end to the moneymaking scams that come with the turf. And there is a problem with these compounds that pass more easily through the skin, than the digestive tract. They can drag along toxic compounds that would otherwise stay on the outside; or in other words, one cure brings forth-another disease.
